  Simon Bako Lalong Governor of Plateau State  Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong has expressed outrage over an attack on Senator representing Plateau South District, Prof. Nora Dadu'ut and some journalists which occured on Thursday 28th April after the commissioning of an ICT HUB constructed by the Senator as part of her Constituency Project in Namu, Quan Pan Local Government Area.  The attack which was said to be unrelated to the commissioning of the project was alleged to have been orchestrated by hoodlums who were said to have been angered by the arrest of a suspected wanted kidnap kingpin by security agencies, and thus decided to vent their anger on passers by and any innocent person they encountered.  This led to the burning of one of the security vehicles of the Senator, the damage of her official vehicle as well as the complete burning down of the NUJ Press bus which conveyed members of the Union to cover the event.     Plateau State Governor on Friday 15th April 2022 visited Kanam and Wase Local Government Areas over the recent killing of over 100 persons by terrorists.  Lalong accompanied by his Deputy Prof. Sonni Tyoden, Secretary to Government Prof. Danladi Atu, Chief of Staff, members of his cabinet, as well as heads of security agencies including the General Officer Commanding 3 Armoured Division and Commander Operation Safe Haven, Commissioner of Police, said he was devastated by the senseless massacre of innocent villagers in the affected areas.   The Governor began his visit at the Palace of the Emir of Kanam, HRH Muhammdu Babangida Muazu where he condoled with him over the unfortunate development.  The Emir thanked the Governor for the visit and said that the people have been devastated over the mass killings which have no provocation or any justification because his people are peace loving and only pursuing their livelihoods, basically farming and trading.  ...

Plateau State Government is to partner with the Republic of Korea in the area Tourism, Agriculture and Solid minerals.  Governor Simon Lalong gave this indication when he received on a courtesy visit the Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Kim Young Chae at Government House, Jos.
